Alvie Oliveira is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt (first stripe) and the founder of SJJA Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast. Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, Alvie built his journey on the mats through discipline, consistency, and deep respect for the art. Today he leads a family-friendly academy that blends high-level instruction with a warm, welcoming community.
Coaching Philosophy
Alvie’s coaching balances solid fundamentals, self-defence concepts, and a smart, structured progression through positions and transitions. Classes emphasise technical detail, quality repetition, and controlled sparring so students grow with safety, confidence, and purpose. His mission is simple: build stronger people on and off the mats.
